Tournament Organization

Here at Koh Samui Golf Academy, our experience in running and organizing golf tournaments spans over 25 years including professional  and pro-am events, leading amateur events, club championships, company and corporate events and junior events.

From simple low gross and low net tournaments with certified handicaps to tournaments for beginners  or non certified handicaps using the Callaway System or Stableford system as well as Texas Scrambles and other best Ball tounrmants popular with company tournaments.  We can create and organize a tournament to suit your event or organizations needs  from start to finish.

Following is a list of the things we can provide for your event:

• Reserve the golf course of your choice at discounted rates
• Schedule tee times according to # of players (Tournament Draw)
• Suggest most appropriate format for ability and # of golfers playing
• Provide an Itinerary and rules of play for the event
• Organize/Co-ordinate registration table and scorecards (list of players must be sent 7 days in advance)
• Provide/Organize closest to the pin and long drive and suggest appropriate holes
• Tournament Scoring and Winner Format
• Assist groups on the first tee to insure pace of play is appropriate
• Placement of advertising signs and banners on the course (list must be provided before and approved the the golf course)
• Rules Officiating
• Organize putting contests  and beat the pro contests
• Order Trophies for the prize table and winners (trophies extra cost)
• Organize rental set and merchandise requirements (rental extra cost)
• Provide Prize table and trophy suggestions
• Group Lessons and Clinics before the event at the course or the day before at the driving range (extra cost)
• MC the awards presentation (extra cost)
• Organize transport to and from the golf course (transport extra cost)
• Organize and suggest day trips and boat trips around Samui and surrounding islands
